Location of Sighting: Loch Fyne 1 mile south of Portavadie
1 adult Minke (9-10m) with a Calf, sufaced about 10 times in 30 minutes, closest was 20m from yacht. Calf dod not surface as often, but when it did it was close alongside the mother.
Unusual sight, never seen them in Clyde over the last 13 years of sainin in that area.

10 feeding basking sharks and at least one dolphin breached the water all in the same area. Spotted from the ferry.

3 Otters feeding on rock on north west coast of Gigha, just round from Eilean Garbh. One immediately dived back into the water on seeing me, the other two were engrossed in completing their meal before moving off.

Minke Whale between Soay and Elgol, appeared to be heading towards Loch Slapin. Seal boats tried to approach it but it took avoidance action every time they got close.

Location of Sighting: South shore of Loch Hourn
Walking on the cliff path from mallaig, we saw in the waters below us a 12-15 foot whale, broaching and snorting swimming out from the loch towards the sea. It appeared to be alone. ? Minke or possibly pilot whale.

Location of Sighting: River Clyde - Glasgow Tidal Weir
Grey Seal at ~ 4pm (just after high tide) searching for food and perhaps playing, around tidal weir upstream of Albert Bridge in Glasgow on River Clyde. Watched him for about 5 minutes downstream of weir, then (s)he went across the top of weir and then return downstream. Was probably large male, approximately 2m in length. Two juvenile sunfish. Approx 2 feet across. Spotted from kayaks within 500 metres from shore.

Location of Sighting: Gairloch Big Sands Campsite
Common seal.
approx 300 meters south of the campsite saw a herring gull dive at the shore line and catching a small crab. then a larcge movement of water heading towards the shore the a quick turn north heading back towards the campsite beach less than a meter of the shore common seal hunting at the shore line.
unfortunatly i disturbed it when snatching to get camera out of the case. it came back for the thankfully it came back for a photo
